Early Years Childcare in Dore & Totley

Why are the fees more for non-funded places in Pre-school?

Pre-school Pricing and Funded Early Learning

We encourage all classrooms to spend time outdoors throughout the year. We have access to a small courtyard on site, and have the use of the grounds within the sports club we are situated in. We do this to facilitate more outdoor learning, especially through the spring/summer. We often go on additional walks around the community and take public transport (covid permitting) around the city to local attractions. These excursions do need additional staff and resources but are vital for providing a link to our community.  We have two Early Years Teachers in our Pre-School and one in our 2-3yr classroom, who make a positive contribution to our setting by modelling and coaching other staff to deliver high quality practice throughout nursery. They are effective nursery teachers, delivering the curriculum, alongside planning, and implementing appropriate learning experiences within a stimulating learning environment. They evaluate provision and practice which contributes to quality improvement throughout the nursery. They plan, organise and resource a classroom environment which facilitates children’s autonomous, independent learning and enables children to maximise their full potential. Whilst maintaining good partnerships with parents/carers, outside agencies, colleagues & children, including good home-school links. We believe these EYT’s are invaluable to the children in our care. Because of this, fees are slightly higher in our Pre-school than in the other classrooms (for children not claiming funding).
