What are your settling in procedures?

We will work in partnership with you to settle your child into the nursery environment, allocating a key worker to ensure that care is tailored to meet individual needs.

We offer two free one hour settle sessions the week before you are due to start at nursery. We invite you to discuss your child’s needs during the first half hour of the initial session and then to step outside of the classroom to complete our registration documentation. We ask that you leave your child with us for the second session.

When it is time for your child to move rooms, they will transition on/after their birthday.  You will be introduced to the new key worker and other staff in the room. All relevant information will be handed over by the key worker to help your child settle.

Yellow to Red – 15m

Red to Orange – 24m

Orange to Blue – 36m
